Ågåsjiegge - Iron Ore
Ågåsjiegge is situated to the northeast of Kallak and shows exploration potential to host the same geological structures for iron mineralisation as those seen at Kallak.
The Geological Survey of Sweden (“SGU”) has produced a historic resource estimate for Ågåsjiegge of 74-75 million tonnes of magnetite mineralisation, grading 30% iron, almost free of impurities. Historic logs on two holes show mineralisation as follows:
- Drill hole 72601 (west position) intercepted mineralisation from a depth of 16m
- Drill hole 72602 (west position) intercepted mineralisation from a depth of 8.5m
Logging of the drill holes revealed quartz-feldspar-amphibole magnetite iron formation intersected with pegmatite. The holes are 202.5m and 214m in length, respectively.
